Our Philosophy

Casa Sulara is an alternative learning space designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and the holistic development of each student. Our approach is rooted in experiential learning, respect for individual rhythms, and the cultivation of socio-emotional skills.

In a dynamic and flexible environment, we integrate elements from Montessori, Waldorf, and semi-directive education, creating a space where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Our open, natural settings foster a deep connection with the world around them.

We prioritize critical thinking, autonomy, and collaboration, moving beyond standardized testing in favor of qualitative assessments that honor each child's unique learning journey. Art, outdoor activities, and daily life experiences are seamlessly woven into our curriculum, ensuring a balanced and enriching education.

At Casa Sulara, we celebrate the individuality of every child and recognize their boundless potential. Our commitment is to guide them with respect, trust, and an education tailored to their needs and interests.

Our Programs

We serve children across three developmental stages, each with its own rhythm and approach.

Semillitas

Age 1½-3

This is a new space designed to accompany their growth with respectful care, a strong presence, and confidence in their abilities. Our approach is inspired by free movement, an accompaniment that respects each child's individual rhythm, promotes their autonomy, and allows them to explore movement and play without being "put" into positions or advanced in stages. We prepare a safe and enrichment environment, and the adult observes, accompanies, and cares for them with delicacy.

Semillero Uno

Ages 3–6

Young children flourish in a warm, home-like setting that fosters play, creativity, and a deep connection to nature. Storytelling, movement, and hands-on activities support their social, emotional, and physical growth, building confidence and a love for learning.

Semillero Dos

Ages 7–11

The Dos group eases the shift to structured learning, blending play with early academics. Storytelling, hands-on activities, and movement build literacy, numeracy, and a connection to nature, while creativity and collaboration nurture curiosity and a love for discovery.

Semillero Tres

Ages 12+

Semillero Tres is an excellent space of socialization for young people who are doing homeschool and who want to have the support and accompaniment of adults and other young people who are in the same process of autonomous learning with enriching and respectful experiences of this period of life.
